The reconstitution of the Corporate Affairs Commission board (CAC) was approved by The Federal Government, and Mr. Ademola Seriki has been appointed as the boards new chairman.
The new Registrar General of the Commission as appointed by the government is Alhaji Garba Abubakar, and according to the media, the new appointments took effect as at 7th January, 2020 and would last for a period of four year.
Mr Adeniyi Adebayo who’s the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment made this disclosure as he presented the letter of appointment to the new Registrar General at his Abuja office.
There has been a lingering leadership tussle in the Commission according to a statement from the Commission, the Minister hopes this reconstitution of the board would put an end to tussle.
All directors and staff of Corporate Affairs Commission were urged by the Minister to give their maximum support and cooperation to the new appointed Registrar General in other to achieve an ease in business operations.
The registrar was urged to be fair and firm in the discharge of his duties by the Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, Amb. Mariam Yalwaji Katagum.

However, it was earlier stated by the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Nasir Sani Gwarzo that the major objective of the appointments was to bring peace and harmony to the Commission, he made this statement while presenting a letter of appreciation to the former Registrar General, Hajiya Hasaratu Shafi’i for her role in her acting capacity, he further added, that he commends the staff of the CAC for their cooperation.
Further more, the new Registrar General expressed his appreciation to the President of the Federation for finding him worthy, he also assured the President that he’ll be fair to everyone and also, he will try his best to transform the Commission into a world class Institution.
