Major health insurance companies such as UnitedHealth, Anthem, and Humana CEOs and the leaders of Industry Trade Groups (Blue Cross Blue Shield Association) met with President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence in the White House on Tuesday to affirm the commitments which each company have been individually announcing in the recent days.
The Major insurers pledged to handle to cost for the Covid-19 test on patients, even after the announcement, the public concern revolving around the challenges of the test was not resolved.
Pence said “We want the American people to know that they are covered through private insurance, they are covered through Medicare, Medicaid, and there will be no surprise billing.”
“I think tremendous progress is being made.” Insurers, he added, are “willing to do things for the people and their customers … that normally I don’t think they’d be doing,” Trump said.
Accordingto reports the total confirmed cases in the United States has risen to 974 cases with 270 new cases, the numbers of deaths has also risen to 30 with 4 new cases of death, there has been a total number of 15 successful recovery, a total number of 929 active cases with 8 patients in critical condition.
The whole of Italy has been placed under quarantine as efforts to combat the Covid-19 outbreak by the Italian Government, the country recorded it’s highest toll in a single day since the outbreak in the country as 168 more people dies in 24 hours.
According to reports, the total confirmed cases in Italy has risen to 10,149 cases with 977 new cases, the numbers of deaths has also risen to 631 with 168 new cases of death, there has been a total of 1,004 successful recovery, a total number of 8,514 active cases with 877 patients in critical condition.
